My name is Mary. I live with my husband of 6 years in Thika.
For almost a year now, I have suspected that my house girl is sleeping with my husband. I have no evidence but the way the girl's attitude has recently changed towards me is giving me suspicions.
I am the one that brought her to the house, I am the one that pays her salary every month but she no longer has any fear for me.
Even when I'm scolding her, she would eye me and keep quiet. And if my husband is there, she would look at him as if he should come and tell me to leave her alone.
Normally he used to be very harsh on the domestic staff but not with this one. He hardly ever talks to her when I’m around but when I ask her anything concerning him she would tell me he has told her to do so and so and she has done it, like telling her exactly how to prepare his meals etc. This shows that they are communicating a lot but just not in front of me.
Another thing that made me suspicious is the way he now comes home to have his lunch. He never used to have his lunch at home despite him working at Stanbic Bank just a 5 minutes drive from our house but now when I and the kids are away, he comes home for her to feed him!
Do you think they are sleeping with each other? Should I let her go?
