Drama unfolded in a Juja village on Friday evening as a middle aged man refused to go home because he was drunk and late, he feared that his wife will beat him up to death as she had warned him to never go home late or drunk.
The man had been invited to a party by his old friends and the party which had some booze was too good and entertaining that the man lost track of time.
At midnight the drinking buddies decided to pack up and go home but the man started crying saying he cannot go home lest they see him in a casket.
“mke wangu ni simba marara. Hamjui ninacho ogopa,” (my wife is a roaring lion you have no idea what am fearing) he said.
His friends offered to drive him home but he just shed tears telling them to please accommodate him till morning as he could not dare enter his house at that time of night.
One of his friends offered to take him home personally and explain to his wife what had happened and why he was late but he refused.
The amazed drinking buddies were shocked as the man had earlier chest thumped himself of being the jogoo at his home.
The friends finally agreed to let him sleep at one of the men’s house as they had no option.
