Yule Jamaa ambaye alimgeuza mwenzake kwa kumuua na kumpika kama Kitoweo cha usiku anafikishwa mahakamani Leo

The suspect is accused of hacking Mr Peter Chepongos to death at Tetu Farm before making soup using the victim’s bowels and a leg.

The man, a herder, is being detained under heavy security at Kirengerero Police Station after the public threatened to teach him a lesson.

Family members of the victim launched a manhunt for their kin who they said did not spend the night at his home on Friday.

“We started asking neighbours, and the herdsman also told us he had not seen him, but I noticed he was fidgety, despite having a panga that he usually carried all the time. As we passed by the footpath, we noticed a pool of blood and a few metres away, we saw Chepongos’ cap,” said Mr Francis Tarkus the victim’s cousin.

The search team traced the blood to the herdsman’s house where they broke in and found ‘roasted’ flesh and human hair. The herdsman is said to have disappeared after body parts were found in his house.

Police bagged the roasted flesh, a bloodstained panga and a sufuria containing boiled bowels as evidence.

The shocked villagers also found a human body by the roadside when a manhunt for the suspect ensued and also found more flesh stashed in polythene bags.
