A 25 year old man was caught over the weekend ‘eating from his neighbor’s plate’ at Engineer village in Kinangop. The man, a mukurino, was caught by the man of the house who had tricked his 60 year old wife.
The man of the house had been having suspicions that his wife was unfaithful but had not accumulated enough evidence against her to confront her.
On the day of the incident the man told his wife that he was leaving to see his mother and would be back in the morning. The man however went to the nearby shopping center to drink with his friends and waited till about 10 pm when he proceeded home.
The man was in shock and could not believe when he heard screams and moans coming from his house, knowing he couldn’t handle the situation on his own, he called his two neighbors to help him with the ambush.
On ambushing the home the Akorino man managed to escape from the angry men who only managed to grab his turban and chased him in the dark though he was too swift for them and they could not grab him since he was covered in sweat thus slippery.
One of the men however managed to grab him at a corner and they beat him severely with blows and slaps as they abused him accusing him of eating where he does not farm.
They were however confronted by the man’s wife who was naked and asked them to stop beating his lover.
“mnamchapia nini ni nyinyi alikuwa analala nanyi ama ni mimi? Ehe kama bwana hawezi nipa raha mnataka ni fanye nini? ” (Why are you beating him, was he sleeping with you or me? Ehe, if my husband cannot satisfy me what do you want me to do?)
Ashamed by the naked sight of the woman and the allegations that the man cannot perform his duties as a man, they left one by one with their heads facing down.
The mukurino managed to run away, the woman’s husband however reported the case to the area chief and presented him with the man’s turban, clothes and his phone as evidence. The case is still pending as the man has not presented himself to the chief yet.
