On Thursday evening in Paris, Lanvin's fall
2016 collection hit the runway — the first main-season show designed by
the French label's in-house atelier since former Creative Director Alber Elbaz's forced departure last October. The industry at large has lamented his absence ever since: Lanvin's pre-fall collection
was met with mixed reviews, and if the rumblings on social media
following the fall show are any indication, this season's offering will
meet the same fate. From Cathy Horyn to Robin Givhan, some of fashion's
most trusted names did not hesitate to throw a little shade over what
they saw on the runway.
