Media Briefing on Climate Change
UN Headquarters in New York
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will convene a special
high-level event on 21 September to accelerate the entry into force of
the Paris Agreement on climate change at the UN Headquarters in New
York. The event will provide an opportunity for countries to deposit
instruments of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession to the
Paris Agreement and to recognize countries that have joined the
agreement already. Ahead of this event, Mr David Nabarro, Special
Advisor on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Mr. Selwin
Hart, Director of Climate Change Support Team will brief the media on
the latest developments on the Paris Agreement.
